Dr. Onyenwe has experience in Acute care, home care, outpatient primary care, long-term care, and urgent care. She was an Adjunct Professor with three years of High School Teaching experience. She is also Suboxone Certified.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Sierra Leone, West Africa, a master’s degree in Tropical Forestry and Management from Dresden University of Technology in Germany, an Associate Degree in Nursing from the College of Staten Island-City University of New York, Master of Science in Nursing -Family Nurse Practitioner from PACE University New York, New York and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Walden University.
Her passion for Nursing and Medicine continues to evolve as she cares for patients of all ages. Her holistic approach to patient care and ability to always lend patients a listening ear sets her skill set apart while pursuing excellence.
He has been a Nurse for over 16 years; has worked in Long term care, Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, ICU, Neuro Step Down, Psychiatric Staff Nurse and now as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. He has been practicing as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for over three years.
His vast experience and knowledge in nursing made him aware that patients with behavioral health also battle with medical co morbidities. His passion is to care for such patients combining both behavioral and medical problems. He believes that the mind soul and body work as a single entity.
He always treats his patients as well as reminds them about following up with other specialties most especially their primary care physicians.
Kennedy is a graduate of Bellevue Hunter College Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. He is ANCC Board Certified both in psychiatry and medical surgical nursing. His interests include; treating patients with resistant depressive symptoms with interventional Ketamine infusion as new onset modality. He also treats patients addicted to Opioids using Buprenorphine as a means to improve the addiction rate in New York State and beyond (Currently Buprenorphine Certified). He believes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) psychotherapy incorporated in patient’s treatment plans.
